Gold Sounds 11/14/07: Short Songs edition

Hey everyone! Today's show is the polar opposite of last week's show in that I will only be playing songs that are two minutes or less in length (although a bunch were really just like, two and a half minutes or less. Whatevah!). Here's the playlist (new songs in orange, requests in blue, songs that were too long for this concept but I played anyway because they're on pink vinyl in red):

Archers of Loaf "Web in Front"
The Thermals "It's Trivia"
This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb "Jack Johnson"
We Versus the Shark "I Am Destined for Greatness"
The Octopus Project "Truck"
Mates of State "Proofs"

Nada Surf "Concrete Bed"
Ben Kweller "How it Should Be (Sha Sha)"
Georgie James "Hard Feelings"
The Smiths "Girlfriend in a Coma"
Daniel Johnston "Lousy Weekend"
Ben Gibbard "You Remind Me of Home"

The Microphones "I Felt My Shape"
Neutral Milk Hotel "King of Carrot Flowers Part 1"
Modest Mouse "So Much Beauty in Dirt"
Built to Spill "Twin Falls"
Elliott Smith "Between the Bars"

So Many Dynamos "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning"
Bear Vs. Shark "We Were Sad but Now We're Rebuilding"
Pavement "Two States"
Ozma "Korobeiniki"
Deerhoof "Dummy Discards a Heart"
Tilly and the Wall "Fell Down the Stairs"

The Future Kings of Nowhere "Downpour"
The Arrogant Sons of Bitches "1-800-Alarm-Me"
Bomb the Music Industry! "Unlimited Breadsticks, Soup and Salad Days"

The Damned "Love Song"
Bad Brains "Banned in D.C."
Bad Religion "Automatic Man"
Mogwai "Punk Rock"
This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb "The Argument"
We Versus the Shark "No Flint No Spark"
Chumbawumba "The Health & Happiness Show" (that's right)
Pavement "Lions (Linden)"

Q and not U "End the Washington Monument (Blinks) Goodnight"
So Many Dynamos "We Vibrate, We Do"
Target Market "The Beat"
Hot Hot Heat "No, Not Now"
Pavement "Black Out"
The White Stripes "Conquest"

Built to Spill "Fling"
The Beatles "Golden Slumbers/Carry that Weight/The End"
Modest Mouse "Wild Packs of Family Dogs"

This show was not as overwhelming as I thought it would be. Thank you to everyone who called in! I won't be here next week but I'll be back in two weeks with a show that's not based on song lengths.
